Otis recorded this song shortly before his tragic death. Steve Cropper finished production on the song after Otis' plane went down. Released posthumously, it was Otis' biggest hit ever. Enjoy!

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2008/07/15/khadr-tapes.html A teenage Omar Khadr sobs uncontrollably as Canadian spy agents question him at the U.S. military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in a brief video excerpt released via the internet early Tuesday morning. The 10-minute video posted just after 5 a.m. ET is of poor quality and the voices are often inaudible, as it was never intended to be viewed by the public. But it shows Khadr, 16 at the time, being interviewed by Canadian officials in late February 2003. The excerpt is from five formerly classified DVDs consisting of 7.5 hours of questioning, six months after Khadr was captured following a 2002 firefight in Afghanistan. The tapes, made public under a court order obtained by Khadr's lawyers, offer a rare glimpse of interrogations of Guantanamo detainees and of Khadr. Khadr, now 21, has been held at the military prison for the past six years. Shows interrogator wounds At one point during one of the interviews, Khadr raises his orange shirt to show wounds on his back and stomach that he says he sustained during the firefight. "I'm not a doctor, but I think you're getting good medical care," the interrogator responds. Khadr cries, "I lost my eyes. I lost my feet. Everything!" in reference to how the firefight in Afghanistan affected his vision. "No, you still have your eyes and your feet are still at the end of your legs, you know," a man says. Between gasping sobs, Khadr tells the agent several times, "You don't care about me." As Khadr continues crying, the agent calls for a break. 'Help me,' Khadr chants "Look, I want to take a few minutes. I want you to get yourself together. Relax a bit. Have a bite to eat and we'll start again," the interrogator says. Then Khadr begins sobbing with his head in both his hands, chanting over and over again in a haunting voice: "Help me ... Help me ... Help me." In the next interview excerpt, Khadr sits on a blue couch looking down as he is questioned. He mumbles short answers and declines an offer of food. The interrogator asks him a string of innocuous questions to try to warm him up. "I want to stay in Cuba with you. Can you help me with that?" he says, commenting on how nice the weather is in the country. He later asks, "What other interesting things do you want to tell me about?" Khadr's response cannot be heard. Sessions videotaped by U.S. agents The U.S. Defence Department granted special permission to CSIS and Canada's Foreign Affairs ministry to question Khadr after he was brought to Guantanamo Bay, where he is still being held on charges he killed a U.S. soldier during a firefight in Afghanistan. Michel Juneau-Katsuya, a former CSIS agent, told CBC that the unprecedented release of the interrogation tapes is likely to put a damper on Canada's relationship with the U.S. — at least in the short term. "Anybody can logically sort of assume that the Americans will be a little bit more cautious about what they give to us or or in the context they give it to us, the Canadian authorities," he said Monday. In May, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that branches of the Canadian government had to hand over key evidence against Khadr to his legal team to allow a full defence of the charges against him, which include accusations by the U.S. that he spied for and provided material support to terrorists. Several Canadian media organizations then applied for and obtained the release of the DVDs, as well as a package of documents that made headlines last week. Disc copies of the 5-DVD collection were to be made available to the media at 1 p.m. ET at the lawyers' offices in Edmonton.

The anthology "A Woman's Heart" (1992), with three songs by Dolores Keane, was one of the most popular folk anthologies of the nineties. Keane is a Traveller and was born in Caherlistrane, County Galway, Ireland. She is a sister of musician Seán Keane. Her aunts Rita and Sara Keane are also singers. She has duetted with American singer John Prine on his album In Spite of Ourselves.

That's his dock on Sandy Lake, a short drive from the home where he was born. As a child my Grandad would visit his own Grandfather at the very same Lake. It has been throughout his life, a spiritual home. To fully understand the significance to this film you should watch another of mine called Sandy Lake - Memories. It's a film of my visit to my Grandparents cabin and a film that explains how my Grandad was separated from my Mother ( his eldest daughter ) for 49 years. Luniz is a platinum-selling Oakland rap duo formed by rappers Yukmouth and Numskull. They released an internationally successful hit in 1995 entitled "I Got 5 on It", two versions of which appear on their album Operation Stackola. A third version of the song, featuring Oakland rappers Dru Down, Shock G, Richie Rich, E-40, and Spice 1 and often found on the Internet as the Bay Area Ballas Remix, has also garnered radio play. Luniz were going to be featured on Tupac Shakur's One Nation project. Due to Shakur's death the album was never released. During Master P's rise to national fame, Luniz attempted to spark an argument over the use of the concept 'the Ice Cream Man'. Due to their waning popularity which was overshadowed by P's skyrocketing exposure, the argument was not taken up by the media and they eventually fell into obscurity. Luniz also had a major row with Too $hort, deriding him on their song "Playa Hata" and saying in the song "thats why the town got rid of $hort." This led to an altercation at KMEL Summer Jam in 1996, between Too $hort and some posse members of Luniz. Too $hort was banned from KMEL radio for a brief period of time as a result of the fight at Summer Jam.

Our crew can not be stopped. recap of ESP clinic @ NAMM Nikki Law Backstage Crew **Bay Area Backstage** World Exclusive!!! I went to the annual NAMM show in Anaheim, California as a part of the Bay Area Backstage crew, and I had such an awesome time there on Saturday (January 19th)-- besides seeing many talented musicians walking around, I got to watch a very exclusive "clinic" at the ESP booth that featured a jam with Alexi and George Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob), and a jam with Alexi and Janne. Although I didn't get to see much of the Alexi/Lynch jam (we walked into the ESP room at the very end of their performance), I did see the entire Alexi/Janne jam alongside a handful of other people... As the crew was setting up the stage area for Alexi and Janne's clinic, Randy Blythe (Lamb Of God) made a quick appearance in the ESP room before ducking backstage (I thought that he was going to jump on a mic while Alexi and Janne played, but he never did unfortunately). Some of the guys from Armored Saint (Phil and Gonzo Sandoval) were also in the crowd to watch the clinic, so I talked to them for a few minutes as the tech guys were setting up the equipment...During the sound-check, someone played the beginning of Motley Crue's "Too Young To Fall In Love" (like on Stockholm Knockout Live's "Downfall"), but I'm not sure if it was Alexi or not (there was a curtain in front of the stage before Alexi and Janne started). But once Alexi and Janne came out, the curtain was pulled aside so that the shred-fest could begin-- I don't remember all the details of everything that was played, but I do know that an instrumental "Tie My Rope" and "Sioux City Sarsaparilla" (with added keys) were performed (Alexi used his custom black guitar with pink pinstripes during the jam). It was awesome to watch Janne and Alexi play together in such a small space-- the stage was set up in a corner of the ESP room, and I was probably a good 10 feet away from them (there wasn't any barrier separating the fans from them either, besides the frustrated security guard that acted as a human barricade). I felt like I was watching a garage band perform to their closest friends-- it was a very intimate and amazing performance that only a few people got to see, and I'm glad that I was one of them.
